We spent more than a year under lockdown, and some in complete isolation. This caused a deep impact on the way we perceive the world around us and interact with each other. Now that we’re “back to normal” Why doesn’t it feel totally “normal”?
Small talk wants to rebuild what we lost during isolation. Human interaction, human proximity, humanity. We connect with each other because we share time doing things we enjoy. Small talk can design spaces where meaningful connections are possible.
We also want to give credit to event planners. Event planning is one of the most stressful jobs out there. You should be ready and open for any sudden change, deal with the client’s stress and their own and many times without any retribution. That’s why they deserve better work conditions and higher pay.

For Small Talk, it is important to contribute to causes that matter for all of us. Our last donation in 2021 was for SOS Violence Conjugale for 1 000 $ to help fight domestic violence and promote accessibility to victims.
We are environmentally conscious
Medium and large events can negatively affect the environment as there’s a lack of responsibility to take care of spaces. Also, some supplies are brought from abroad, causing a negative footprint. Small talk encourages people to connect with local suppliers, talented and passionate people committed to zero waste.

Meet the Founder
She has been an event planner for the last 10 years. When she was living in Northern Ireland, she experienced a realization moment while volunteering in a non-profit for mental health awareness. That’s when she decided to study tourism management at ITHQ, Montréal from 2013 to 2017.
She has done all types of events, from fundraising, festivals and weddings to art exhibitions and meetings. Her purpose is to create long-lasting relationships among people and her passions are event planning, gathering people at her place, organizing and leaving a positive footprint on people. That’s why it felt natural for her to found Small Talk Events as it’s where her passion and purpose meet.
Casual is Tatiana’s middle name. She’s the traveling wizard of the gang, always selecting the place, booking accommodations, sorting out lunch, designing the travel route and creating endless Spotify playlists to keep everyone tuned.
If she’s not working you will often find her playing in the outdoors, climbing rocks, gardening, decorating spaces, cooking tasty meals, listening to Indie and emerging music or simply the go-to trendy songs we all love singing.
